Mad, Mad and Madder – Photomontages

In this series I composed found images from early sixties New Zealand travelogues together with various drawing media and contemporary elements of collage. These works comment on predicament and folly with humour and an apposite relevance to now.

Dreaming Myself Awake

The two larger oil on paper works together with a series of small framed drawings explore allusive and transformative themes; conveying the relationship between the human condition and an ethereal world.

The Joy of Life – Fabric Collage Drawings

Titled from a painting by Max Ernst, these affirmative works were inspired and pay tribute to selected artists from the Surrealist art movement of the early 19th century.
Please note: this series is professionally framed using ash wood moulding and museum glass for maximum clarity. Frame sizes all 50x65cm.
