We invite you to the opening of our new exhibition, “Kaitiakitanga/Guardianship” featuring new work from Reva Mendes and Trish (aka Tira).
The exhibition will open at 11am on Saturday 29th March and run to 4th May.
The work explores the role of korari in sustainable environmental, art, and business practices.
Reva makes natural paper from korari and will present a selection of objects and other fibre products and pieces.
Trish weaves raranga and whatu from korari and, at times, kiekie, pingao and ti kouka.

Reva and Trish will give a demonstration of their work practices on Saturday 19th April from 11am to 1pm.
